Three Fixture Changes For Stoke

Changes to the dates or kick-off times of three of Stoke’s forthcoming fixtures have been announced. The home game against Fulham, which had been scheduled for mid-December, but had to be postponed due to Roy Hodgson’s side’s continuing involvement in the Europa League, will now be played on Tuesday the fifth of January, with kick-off at 7:45 PM at the Britannia Stadium. Less than two weeks later Liverpool will visit the Potteries, and, in keeping with Sky Sports’s policy of making life difficult for the fans, will now be televised and kick off at 12:45 PM, rather than the traditional three o’clock. The prize for most annoying change goes to the ESPN network though, after their decision to show our away trip to Sunderland and move the game from the final Saturday in January to Monday the first of February, with an 8:00 PM kick-off at the Stadium of Light that ensures a difficult journey for the hardiest Stoke fans who will make the long journey to Wearside.

As someone who has a two and a half hour drive each way I actually prefer the lunchtime kick off – I get home at a decent hour!
